The Organization Systems Renewal Program NorthWest:

The OSR Program provides the opportunity for learners to achieve excellence as designers and leaders of change, with particular emphasis on change within organizations. Students learn to recognize the synergistic qualities and opportunities inherent in living systems while developing the heart to move theory to practical action in order to help individuals, groups, organizations and communities manage their own transformation and renewal.

OSR features include:

  • Learning in a dynamic community of 40 students with 4 faculty members which meets in a once per month weekend format for seven consecutive quarters.
  • Integrating practical action, proven skills and authentic leadership based on theories of whole systems, design, change leadership, and adult learning.
  • Establishing a student designed degree committee of faculty, community leaders for change, and peers who collaborate in tailoring the curriculum to the individual's learning focus.
  • Engaging with visiting faculty of international renown such as Jean McLendon, Don Swartz, Marvin Weisbord, Margaret Wheatley, Dennis Meadows and Warren Schmidt.
  • Designing and delivering student led sessions, many in conjunction with the visiting faculty.

Founded in 1979, the OSR Program has a 20 year history of successful, continually evolving program design. Graduates receive a diploma of competency awarded by the visiting faculty as well as a Master of Arts in Whole Systems Design from Antioch University, Seattle.
