About the WSD Programs: Introduction:
In today's complicated, fast-paced world, problems often seem
overwhelming. Yet opportunities for improvement abound in organizational,
natural, cultural and public systems. The secret to success? Being able to
provide creative, intellectual and practical responses to complex, global
situations. Whole Systems Design is a new field of academic inquiry, a
unique synthesis of systems and design traditions. Students who graduate with a
Master's in Whole Systems Design will be able to:
- Think systematically.
- Operate holistically.
- Design creatively.
In a supportive and challenging environment, students set their own
degree focus and learning goals, combining individual interests with program
requirements. Within this framework, students are challenged to develop
intellectually, professionally and personally.
